oh, hello! I’m nadia.
A South African living in Cyprus, approaching forty, with fifteen years of digital and creative work behind me, and an ever-growing list of things I’d still like to try, but AI can do already.
I design, develop, draw, paint, photograph, write and run. Not necessarily in that order, and certainly not all at once.
My tolerance for people who turn a perfectly ordinary slice of toast into a public health emergency is also remarkably low.
Welcome to the various sides of me.
what I do (most days).
I make a living making things.
Websites, interactive learning experiences, digital content and the occasional project that starts with a simple request and ends with seventeen browser tabs + a minor existential crisis.
Starting as a blogger on Squarespace many many moons ago, I have spent over fifteen years working across design, development and digital communication. I still enjoy the challenge of figuring things out, particularly when somebody tells me something cannot be done.
what I make (occasionally).
Some things serve a purpose. Others simply make me happy.
I draw, paint, photograph and occasionally (more often than I’d like to admit) spend an unreasonable amount of time perfecting something nobody else will notice.
I’m particularly drawn to nostalgia, forgotten music, places, movies... and the extraordinary amount of character hiding in otherwise ordinary things.
